Hi everyone

My name is Vera and I am an approximately 2 year old chihuahua cross.

I came to SEDR as an unclaimed stray…presumed dumped.

I am COMPLETELY BLIND, and am looking for a home with either blind dog experience or with someone who has fully researched what being a blind dog owner involves.

When I arrived, I weighed just 1.5kg and now weight 1.75kg…so I am tiny!! For this reason I would like a home without young children but sensible visiting children or older resident children would be fine.

I have been in foster with other dogs and made it perfectly clear that I do not want to share a home with other dogs as it causes me distress…so a home as an only dog is essential.

I do exhibit some circling behaviour if I get stressed or excited but the vets feel this is not neurological but a learned behaviour due to me being unable to pace or do ‘zoomies’ due to not having any vision.

I absolutely love to be cuddled and sit on your lap, and will need someone at home for most of the day so I have companionship.

I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
