My name is Tia and I am an 13 year old poodle. looking for a cosy retirement home. 

I have been neutered, chipped and vaccinated and am in foster in Rochester Kent.

I am looking for a home as an only dog or of similar size and age. I could potentially live with a dog savvy cat, and older children only (though visiting younger children who are respectful of my age and snoozing is fine!) 

My favourite things are sleeping, eating, looking fluffy and cute, and going on walks. I am a superstar out and about...I behave impeccably on the lead and I am very independent...I like saying hello to other dogs and I am very confident with all breeds. When I am done, I simply walk off...I have broken a few hearts being this aloof 😁.  I am not keen on cold and dark weather so sometimes 1 morning walk is enough, as long as I can have a little run around the garden.

At home, I love a cosy bed or 3....although I am super independent I am also super nosey, and like to be where the action is at, even if I don't wish to participate! I still have the odd accident so please pester me to go out last thing at night, even when I am fast asleep and most indignant!

I don't have a lot of teeth so soft food is what i like best...I do love a bit of extra mature cheddar sprinkled on my dinner! I self regulate and If I ever need a little bit more I simply give a sad whimper and the human servants oblige! I am a health weight and have no health issues. I may be getting on but I have my crazy moments too. My specialist interests at the moment include trying to sit on the unwashed laundry in the basket, sitting most uncomfortably on top of the teenage human's PE kit, inches away from my lovely bed, and headbutting the cushions off the sofa. I have no desire to sit on the sofa at all, but I still like to be the boss of these pesky cushions (soft furnishings completely unharmed!).

I do have some aged related cloudiness to my eyes which means my vision is a little limited in the dark but overall doesn’t impact my life in a negative way’

I have not been cat tested but I do ignore them out and about. I am fine with sensible children. I am a distinguished older lady, not a toy...a little rub on the head and some attention is fine but after that I just want to do my own things. I love a treat though and I do not guard food, beg at the table or snatch. I am far too well behaved!

I sleep well, downstairs on my fluffy bed and if I wake earlier than my humans I will entertain myself. I do like a morning walk but I am happy to be flexible on timing. I like meeting g new people and I rarely bark (hello darkness, my old friend 😁🎵🎶)

I had to have quite a dramatic haircut a little while ago but I am getting all soft and fluffy again...I do need my coat on for the moment, roll in spring I say!

I am happy to be left on my own for a while, I will just have a snooze or a little explore round the place, but I do love welcoming people back and recently I have even started to play tug of war...I think I am regressing to being a puppy! For a few minutes anyway, after that I need a sit down 😀
