Hi everyone!

My name is Lucy and I am a 5 year old Dachshund looking for a furever home.

I came in to rescue as my former family could no longer look after me.

I am a very sweet girl who adores females but I am very scared of men and will bark at them to try and get them to go away! I will make friends with them, but it takes time and treats…and a lot of patience. I would be best suited to an active retired female or where there is a resident male human who is understanding and patient.

I would like a quiet home without children, but sensible, dog savvy visiting children would be ok.

I walk nicely alongside other dogs but do not tolerate dogs in my face, and for this reason I am looking for a home as an only dog. I cannot live with cats! 

I hate the postman and will do my biggest and scariest barking until they go away! 

I am a perfect patient and the vets and travel perfectly in the car. I am mostly house trained but will have the odd accident (usually overnight) so you will need to be prepared for this. 

I enjoy my walks and walk nicely on the lead, but will bark at passing men if they come too close to me
