Jethro

Hi everyone!

My name is Jethro and I am a 9 year old lab cross  who came to SEDR as a stray, presumed dumped.

I have been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

I was finding life in kennels stressful so my foster mum offered to look after me whilst I find my furever home. I am currently residing in West Sussex.

I am a friendly and loving boy who has settled into home life with ease. I absolutely love my toys and have bonded quickly with my foster mum. I’ve been told black dogs get over looked, but I’m hoping someone can see my gentle and loving personality shine through, because I am such a good boy!!

I am housetrained, travel well in the car and am a perfect patient at the vets.

I walk nicely on the lead and enjoy saying hi to new people and dogs.

I sleep through the night and I’ll announce to you when the postman is delivering your bills!

I am learning that if I am left, my people will return but I still struggle a little being left on my own (I will try to get to the window to see where you’ve gone, and empty the bins…however this is improving and my foster Mum has rearranged things so she comes back to a tidy home. But I really do love company and will need a home where I am left for minimal amounts of time.

When I get anxious, my back legs do a little wobble but this has improved over time as I’ve relaxed into home life.

I am friendly with other dogs and would living with another dog may help me to settle when being left. I have no experience with cats.

I am looking for a quieter adult home (older teenagers would be fine) where I can be someone’s constant companion.

I enjoy my walks and am really keen to find my furever home so I can give my family all my love and enjoy my retirement years with toys, walks and lots of snuggles.
