Hello everyone, my name is Gorgeous George! I am a delightful older gentleman who is looking for a quieter home for my retirement.

I came into SEDR as I was finding it very difficult to live with the three resident children and their complex health needs. My mummy knew that I was struggling (and it broke her heart to let me go) but she did the best for me by reaching out for help in finding a new home.

I am a 9 year old Lab X Staffie and I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

I have not lived with dogs previously and due to the fact that I would like a quiet home, I would prefer to be an only dog in my new home.

I still love my walks and get very excited when my foster mum gets my harness. In fact, I jump up and lose my inhibitions a bit, so you might want to work with me to help me become a little less enthusiastic! Once I have my harness on, I like to make sure that we get to the park as quickly as possible, so expect me to pull like a steam train! Choo choo!! However, my foster mummy says that I will 'wait' when asked to during a walk, so this is definitely an area of training which can be worked on.

Whilst I have not met any dogs whilst in my foster home, I have walked past other dogs without any issues. My previous owner says that I am very well-socialised with other dogs and am happy to have a natter at the park. However, I do except other dogs to treat me with respect (I am a gentleman, after all), so if a dog is too forward or rambunctious, I will let them know!!

Whilst I have been good with children in the foster home, I was becoming immensely shut down with demanding children in my previous home. Therefore, my friends at SEDR feel that as I have had fearful experiences with children (and now that I'm in my twilight years), it would be appropriate for me to live with older children only (if any).

I do like to chase kitty cats so unfortunately I cannot live with cats or small furries.

I am fully house-trained and have shown no signs of seperation anxiety in my foster home.

I have no current or past medical issues.

If I do say so myself, I am a rather delightful, well-rounded boy who will slot into the right home for my needs. Whilst I am a bit older and need a bit of peace and quiet in the home, make no mistake about it, I am not a doddery senior yet!! I still love my walks and adventures each and every day.
