Dizzy

Hi everyone,
My name is Dizzy and I am a delightful, petite, middle-aged chap. Sadly, my mum is very sick and is no longer in a position to care for me. However, my friends at SEDR have promised her that they will take care of me and find me a new furever home where I will be cherished.
I am approximately 7 years old and I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
I have not lived with a dog previously but could live with a calm, confident dog of a similar age to myself. Whilst I am happy to play with other dogs, I am a middle-aged man and would prefer not to have to keep up with a youngster's energy every single day!
I am very chilled when meeting other dogs on walks; I am happy to exchange polite pleasantries but am quite content to leave it at that. Frankly, I prefer my own company!

When I go for walks, I do tend to pull a bit! This is probably due to a combination of my Staffy heritage and the fact that I have not been on regular walks for some time. However, with the introduction of a regular exercise routine and a bit of training, I promise that I will improve!
I love people and always became SUPER excited when people came to visit me in my home! However, I will calm down after a few minutes once everyone is in place and settled on the sofa!
I used to play with the visiting grandchildren and would get quite giddy with excitement as I really loved them! My friends at SEDR feel that whilst I can live with children, it would be better for me to live with children aged 10 and over.
I will chase cats and small furries, so unfortunately, I cannot live with anything small and fuzzy.
I did not get anxious when left alone in my previous home but I was not left on my own very often. Therefore, I would prefer to live with a family where I have someone to keep me company for much of the day.
I have no issues with resource guarding: my hoomans could take anything away from me and I did not mind at all!
I have travelled in a car on a few occasions and whilst I have been quiet, I still am not 100% sure about travelling in a box on wheels. However, I am sure that with a few more journeys to nice places, I'll get used to it!
I arrived at SEDR with some skin irritation but the lovely vets have been giving me treatment and I'm feeling less itchy.

As you can see, I am a delightful, happy little middle-aged boy who will slot into the right home. I just want to love and be loved and will prove to be a truly loyal family member.
If you would like to give me a home, please contact my friends at SEDR using the form below.
Lots and lots of kisses,
Dizzy
