Hi everyone

My name is Blue and I am a 4 year old lurcher. My life was one of love and security until my owner sadly took his own life and I ended up in rescue, which was devastating for me. I went to foster with 2 other lurchers but unfortunately as I became more confident, my tolerance for living with other dogs became less and less...and so I was adopted by a lady without other dogs who has showered me with love since.

For reasons totally beyond her control, I am now needing to find a new home. This has been a heart breaking decision for her and equally heart breaking for me to, and I am ready to find my fur-ever home.

I absolutely adore people and will welcome anyone into my home! I have spent time with a 4 and 6 year old child and am very gentle with them. I love to sit on the sofa with you for cuddles, and will be happy to act as a hot water bottle for you in bed in winter!!

I also love playing ball and will carry around my soft teddies - looking super cute!

I am completely house trained and have never had an accident indoors. I am a perfect patient at the vets - I literally love everyone! 

I can be left for a few hours each day without any issues. 

I love my walks and my new owners will need to confident in walking me.

With other dogs, I do tend to bark at other dogs on walks...but this has improved with training and will need further work in my new home. I have had play dates with other dogs after careful introductions and management - these have been with submissive playful dogs who do not react to my intitial barking at them! 

I have met another long nose friend since being back in rescue and we became friends very quickly, but please remember I am not reliable with all other dogs, and you must be committed to my struggles around some dogs. 

But it is important that I am the only dog in the home, and this really must be my last and final re-home. 

I would not cope with a home that has reactive / barky dogs next door.
