Please note Bernie is not an SEDR dog – he is boarding with us and we are help ing his rescuers at Give a Dog a Home to find him a home.

Bernie is a sweet and beautiful boy who has been unlucky in life and waited a long time for a forever home of his own. He would love a quiet, preferably more rural, home, as he can be sensitive to noises and would appreciate a peaceful routine with no children under the age of 16. Ideally he would like another dog as a companion but he could live as an only dog in the right home. He can bark at strangers but quickly learns to trust people and is wishing for someone to love him forever.

Bernie is a work in progress as he can be vocal around some dogs (not all) when he is on the lead. We will offer behavioural support to help him overcome his remaining issues. He is a very loving and handsome chap who just wants someone to love and understand him and give him the patience, training and loyalty he deserves. He will grow in confidence and security once he is fully settled in a home, he is currently staying in kennels and misses home comforts. Bernie is fully house-trained and lead-trained and is a bright boy so will benefit greatly from further training. Bernie is currently in kennels in Maidstone, Kent. Please get in touch if you think you may be able to give him the forever or foster home he has been waiting for.

Bernie and his siblings were born in a public shelter in Romania, before a rescue saved them from impending death. His siblings and mother are now happily adopted but Bernie is looking for a new home after his adopter became ill.
