SADIE - DECEMBER 2009
Sadie is doing fine. You were right about the painful squeals, they stopped yesterday. She enjoys her walks and is amazing off the lead, stays within a few feet and good recall. Gets on well with friends and family.
BENNY - DECEMBER 2009
Since it has been snowing he has been off his lead a lot chasing snowballs having a great time .We have met a few dogs whilst off his lead some he has growled at to stay away but not taken it any further thank god others he just plays with noses and bottoms everywhere he’s unpredictable we have advised all dogs owners of this that we meet they just say its ok there dogs need to learn.Hes a lot more dog, dog off lead than on lead .On lead he protects so its muzzle on but he’s still very happy . We will work with him and will be fine. We are meeting a dog trainer in the New Year.
Benny’s had a fantastic time chasing the snowballs he adores them, digging away to find them in the snow we have some pics I will get them on here as soon as I have a bit of spare time .
Thanks for all your help and Chrissie too, we all wish you a very very Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year
MAX (2) - DECEMBER 2009
Merry Christmas to you and your family too Kymm. Thank you for introducing Max to us and bringing us great joy this year - the little fellow is doing very well and is particularly cute now he has his full coat again!
SCAMP - DECEMBER 2009
Scamp is doing great, can’t believe how much he has grown! He was 4kg when I got him home and he is now 8kg!! He has settled in well, he and Maddy are best mates. He has a great life with us, comes to work with me every day and goes on walks with the 7 other dogs that are at our practice! He comes with me every week when I do agility and watches intently; he can’t wait to start when he is old enough!
BUSTER (WAS JESTER) - DECEMBER 2009
Buster has turned out to be The BEST! He is forever "in-yer-face" and just so funny. He and Sandy have a great time. She has confidence now that she never knew before. He still makes a pest of himself with absolutely every dog/person/child we meet and most of all think it is great fun too!
So thanks FOR Buster, and no doubt thanks FROM Buster!
JACK – DECEMBER 2009
The terrible twins wish you both a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. They are so tired, as you can see from the attached, that they have TOLD me to send the greetings for them!!!
Did I once say that Lizzie was timid?? She has turned into a MONSTER since Jack arrived, she digs HUGE holes in the garden and chews everything in sight, and he is a thief, 36 sausage rolls this week, the second time a batch has gone down their throats, and this time I was sure they were out of reach!!! Am living higher and higher!!!
But what fun they are... and getting on so well, they both lick the same yoghurt pot together.
HENRY – DECEMBER 2009
Henry's off looking for rabbits in the fields again. Boy can he dig. He just started digging we didn't know what for but he uncovered a rabbit hole.
He’s settled in very well. Loves his bed in the kitchen. So much so he doesn’t' like being outside too much which is no problem. Great with the kids and Dougal our dog. Been on walks with James on the farm land round here.
Why anyone didn't want him is beyond me. Booked him at vets for a complete check up.
Had a scary moment when he first got here, he ran upstairs; he was so scared he couldn't walk. It was horrible. We've put a stair gate up so it won't happen again.
Lovely dog who will be spending the rest of his life with us.
JASPER (WAS PATCH) – DECEMBER 2009
Jasper is as fab as ever. He has turned into a very muscular little dog, who weighs a ton! We have a new kitten too who Jasper adores. They play for hours and constantly amuse us! It is nice for Emily too as she does grumble at his constant playfulness, so it gives her a break from the 'children'. Every Sat and Sun we take them to Brasted Chart for a long walk which they love, and during the week we walk through the local fields (where I often see Lynda). Jasper does this really amusing thing in the fields, especially if the long grass is wet, he runs as fast as his little legs will go and then 'bombs' and rolls over and over. He seems to know it makes me laugh because he looks at me out of the corner of his eye and does it again! As you probably can tell, I absolutely adore him. Simon says he is 'my precious boy' and I spoil him, but I just can't help it!
KIZZY (WAS KOLA) - DECEMBER 2009
What a good girlie - asked to go out and had a wee in the garden. She sat for her tea. She met my friends 3 dogs who came to the front gate - June couldn't wait to meet her. She emailed me later to say how lovely she is. I didn't need to be told. She seems so laid back and happy as long as someone loves her.
MERLIN - NOVEMBER 2009
He's gorgeous, very pretty and such a quiet, calm temperament. He's definitely made himself at home and likes to stretch out on the sofa. He will be a perfect companion for Mum. We all love him to bits. x
WISPA - NOVEMBER 2009
Wispa has settled in very well - as you said she is a real cutie. She travelled really well in the car and was very excited when we got her home. The first night she cried for about an hour or so - it was probably the first night she has ever had on her own. On Monday she was excellent settling in and exploring the house. I think that she has had some training as she has not even attempted to go up stairs - yet!! She also knows the sit and stay commands. We have been giving her small walks and plenty of play time.
Monday night we had no crying at all. Last night we had about five minutes of semi barking before she gave up and when to sleep. She sleeps through to about 7:00am.
I think that she is getting used to her new home as she is now getting more adventurous. If we take our eyes of her for two minutes she is into something she shouldn't be. She is real fun and has a wonderful temperament - we have all fallen desperately in love with her.
Today she discovered the rabbits - I don't know who was the most scared as they all ran in different directions.
CHIP - NOVEMBER 2009
Chip has settled in very well. He is such a good dog. I never thought we would ever get one that matched up to our Duke but he does. He now knows when walk times are and lets us know if we are running a bit late!! On Sunday's I take him up to our local common for a good 2 hour walk and he enjoys going through the woods there. He wants to play with the cows but they don’t want to play with him. He seems very happy and follows me round all day. I have a small office in one of our rooms and he sits in there virtually all day with me.
PIXIE - NOVEMBER 2009
We thought you would like to know how Pixie has settled in ----PERFECTLY!!!!!
She is just adorable and has won everyone's hearts, no problems at all ( well one bacon roll removed from work top, much to Grandson's amusement - but we don't count that.)
